Civil Engineering Advanced Level Apprenticeship at MOTT MACDONALD LIMITED
- A central part of the job is learning and using 2D and 3D software; Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) packages such as Revit and AutoCAD to create technical drawings, models and designs
- Apply appropriate civil engineering principles, techniques, and methods, including mathematical, scientific, and technical know-how, to support the delivery of civil engineering projects
- Plan, carry out and manage your own work in line with quality assurance procedures
- Plan, undertake and review their own professional competence, regularly updating and reviewing their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to improve performance
- The role will include working closely with senior colleagues to develop and learn new skills
- Working on 3D BIM models and producing high quality models and drawings
- Working closely with members of the design team and engineers to help produce drawings, designs and BIM models
- Understanding, reading and producing CAD drawings
- Updating drawings and models based on comments from senior designers
- Assist in preparing the designs, specifications, etc, for projects
- Co-ordinating with the other disciplines like architects, surveyors, contractors, etc.
- Presenting design information in project meetings
- Aiding in the production of clear and well-presented presentations, reports, specifications, and other engineering documentation
- Assessing, testing and implementing innovative new software
- Maintaining records and registers of deliverables
- Operating in accordance with the Company's health, safety, environmental and quality standards

- This training will be delivered in partnership with a local College on day release
- Completion of thos apprenticeship will award you with a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Civil Engineering (603/1217/8) as well as the opportunity to progress to higher level qualifications and apply for industry body membership
- It is expected that upon completion apprentices will progress and undertake the Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship
