Costing and CAD Engineering Business Administrator Apprentice at LASER IT LIMITED
This is a great opportunity to spend time in every aspect of the business, from sales to invoicing.
There will be a strong customer liaison element and daily duties will include:
- Use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
- Phone calls with customers
- Meetings with customers
- Order entry
- Booking out
- Raising invoices
- Liaising with shopfloor personnel
- Generally assisting where required
LASER IT LIMITED
Laser cutting, sheetmetal and fabrication company requires a Business Administration Apprentice to help with costing/quoting, CAD programming and office administration within a small team of 8 office based personnel.
- Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
- Attendance of 1 workshop a month for the first 6 months
- Assessor visits the workplace once the workshops have finished to prepare you for your End Point Assessment
- If you have not already achieved a C/4 + in both maths and English (or equivalent) and cannot provide evidence in the form of a certificate, you will also need to achieve Functional skills at Level 2, in both Numeracy and Literacy. This will include sitting an exam
- You will be given some of your working week dedicated to your apprentice studies, or off the job training, to carry out self-supported study, compiling your portfolio or completing work set by your assessor
- End point assessment to achieve your final apprenticeship grade
- Level 3 Business Administration qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
- Previous apprentices have been successful in securing permanent positions, promotion is available and based on merit, although this cannot be guaranteed

Monday - Thursday, 8.45am - 5.00pm and Friday, 8.45am - 2.30pm.
One 15 minute unpaid break.
