Course Overview
The UAL Extended Diploma in Art, Design & Communication is a vocational programme designed to develop your creative thinking, technical skills, and professional practice. You'll explore disciplines including fine art, graphic design, photography, illustration, digital media, and 3D design while discovering your own creative direction through practical projects and industry-style briefs.
Based in our purpose-built creative facilities, you'll have access to specialist studios, workshops, and digital suites equipped with professional-standard software and equipment. Supported by experienced tutors, you'll build an impressive portfolio while taking part in exhibitions, showcase events, gallery visits, and educational trips. As part of our Creative Career Excellence Hub, you'll also complete work experience within the creative industries and benefit from employer projects, guest speakers, and opportunities that prepare you for further study or employment.
What will I study?

Entry Requirements
• A minimum of five GCSEs at grades 9–4, including English, maths, and an art-related subject
• A passion for art and design, supported by a strong creative portfolio
