Education and Early Years, Technical Diploma
This qualification will provide you with knowledge and understanding of babies and young children aged up to seven. It will allow you to qualify as a ‘staff member’ under the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) staff-to-child ratio at Level 2.
As part of this study programme you will develop your maths and English skills, attend tutorials and Individual Development (ID). You will also complete a work placement or extended industry placement. All aspects of your study programme will be discussed at your interview.
What does the course involve?

The projects you will engage with are: Healthy Lifestyles, Legislation, Environment, Theorists and a Child Study.
How will the course be assessed?
You will be assessed through a number of projects and observation of your practical work in your placement.
Are there any additional costs?
You will be asked to wear an Education and Early Years polo top, which you will also wear in your work setting. You can also purchase an Education and Early Years hoodie.
What future study opportunities and careers are there?
Upon completion of this course you can work within the industry, or you can move onto an apprenticeship or T Level in Education and Childcare.
