Plastering, Diploma
This course is designed for people aged over 19 years who are looking to improve their plastering skills and increase their employment opportunities in the construction industry. Careers in the construction industry are enjoyable and rewarding and offer hundreds of different trade routes to suit your interests.
Diplomas in Plastering provide learners with the opportunity to progress from beginner to advanced level plastering. The Level 2 Diploma is designed to build on the existing skills and knowledge gained on a level 1 plastering course, or for those who may already have some experience of the plastering industry.
This qualification is ideal for people wishing to become more skilled in their chosen trade, or to progress through an apprenticeship and work towards becoming a master craftsman. You’ll cover a range of new topics including preparing surfaces for plastering and plaster application, and you will start to look at mechanical application.
You will also work on larger areas and have the chance to build on your speed and techniques, ready for a future role in the industry or maybe the confidence to start up your own business.
With mega-projects such as Hinkley Point C underway, and a need for 7,000 new homes in the North Somerset area, there has never been a better time to explore a new role in the construction industry.
Subjects covered:
- Applying plastering materials to interiors
