Health and Active Living Skills Centre

The first of its kind in the region, the Health and Active Living Skills Centre enables young people and members of the public to gain access to modern facilities with the aim to improve the general health and wellbeing of the community.
Opening its doors in 2019, the centre provides a modern learning environment for students studying courses in sport and health and social care. Available to hire is the full-sized 3G sports pitch, multi-purpose indoor sports hall and state-of-the-art simulation room.

Pitch 106m x 70m with storage recesses on the ends and spectator viewing area.
The FIFA Approved AGP boasts the following:
• 4 x full size 5 v 5 pitches
• 2 x full size 7 v 7 pitches
• 1 x full size 11 v 11 pitches
• The pitch has 4 sets of moveable 7 v 7 goals and 2 sets of 11 v 11 goals available.
• There are 2 x dugouts available and spectator area for competitive fixtures.
• All goals and dugouts are supplied by Harrods UK, which supplies goals for Wembley, St Georges Park and Twickenham.
Artificial Grass Pitch Usage Guidance
• Clean footwear only – it is essential that mud is not transferred to the playing surface.
• Smoking is not permitted
• No food or chewing gum
• Place all litter in bins
• Return goals to their original position(s) at the end of session.
The sports hall is perfect for numerous indoor activities and sports.
It includes:
• 4 x badminton courts, with available nets
• Basketball Court, with retractable hoops
• Netball court, with available posts
• 5-a-side pitch, with available goals
• A viewing gallery which is suitable for hosting netball fixtures & other competitions.
Sports Hall Usage Guidance
• Appropriate footwear (flat soled)
• No hot drinks
• No food or chewing gum
• All litter placed in the bin provided
• Fire doors to remain closed (must not be opened unless for an emergency)
• No tables or chairs to be placed on the sports hall surface.
