Sports Coaching Traineeship

The Sports Coaching Traineeship is designed for individuals who have a passion for sports and want to become skilled coaches. This programme offers hands-on experience and knowledge in sports coaching. Trainees will learn essential coaching techniques, improve communication and leadership skills, and gain a solid understanding of sports psychology and training principles. Throughout the traineeship, you will work closely with experienced coaches, assisting in coaching sessions, planning, and delivering training programs, and supporting athletes. This traineeship is an excellent starting point for a career in sports coaching, providing valuable skills and experience for future opportunities.

Our state-of-the-art sports facilities offer everything you need to refine your skills, broaden your prospects, and pursue your ambitions both on and off the field or court. Our staff members bring extensive experience from the sports and fitness industries, allowing you to benefit from their skills and expertise. Regardless of your current level, our lecturers and coaches will collaborate with you to enhance your knowledge and abilities, both within and beyond the classroom. This includes practical assignments, presentations, and demonstrations.

Our strong connections with professional athletes and sports clubs enable us to provide you with inspiring talks and workshops by guest speakers, ensuring that you acquire the latest techniques and insights. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9-2 or a qualifying Level 1 qualification.

Protective Services Mountain Biking on the Quantock Hills!

The Level 3 Year 2 Protective Service students had the unique opportunity to take part in a Mountain Bike Day at the end of November, set against the stunning backdrop of the Quantock Hills. 

The day was a fantastic combination of exercise, outdoor exploration, and team-building activities, all of which are proven to have significant benefits for mental health. The picturesque hills offered the perfect setting for the students to enjoy nature while engaging in physical activity that encouraged both personal development and teamwork.
