Employment Course for Non-English Speakers - ESOL Bootcamp

Improve your English and get a job interview to start a new job in construction, health or warehousing! These courses are for English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) who want to improve their English skills and step confidently into a career.

Course Overview

These flexible courses, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and an offer of an interview with an employer upon completion.

On the bootcamp, you can choose from three pathway options: Logistics & Warehousing, Construction or Health & Social Care

Logistics and Warehousing

Want to work in Warehousing and logistics? As well as industry language and workplace health and safety, this course includes Forklift Operator Training and an interview with an employer at the end.

Construction

On this course you will get your CSCS green card gain the confidence, communication skills, and safety training required to begin work in the construction industry with a job interview at the end.

Health & Social Care

Get a guaranteed interview with a health or social care employer on completion of this course. You will learn about clinical and non-clinical care roles, how to communicate with patients, medical terminology and conditions and more.

How are they delivered?

These courses are taught face-to-face over three days per week.

These bootcamps also include visits to workplaces, CV writing and interview skills to prepare you for getting a job.

Skills Bootcamps are free!

Funded by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, this 4-week Skills Bootcamp supports individuals with English as a second language (ESOL) to develop the communication, language, and employability skills needed to start a career.

Virtual Warehouse and Logistics

This 7-day virtual course is perfect for anyone that would like to work within the Warehousing industry. When you have successfully completed the course, you have the option to arrange an interview with the employer and gain employment.

Course Overview

This course will give you a full insight in the following roles, including:

  • Warehouse operative

  • Warehouse supervisor

  • Stock control assistant

  • Store person

  • Removals operative

Groundworks Bootcamp

This intensive 6-week Skills Bootcamp in Groundworks is designed to fast-track your journey into the construction industry through an accelerated apprenticeship. You’ll gain the essential qualifications, hands-on experience, and professional skills needed to start work with confidence and complete your apprenticeship in as little as 12 months.

It’s T Levels Week so we want to discuss the different progression routes students can take after completing a T Level and the benefits they have on future careers. 

T Levels were officially launched in September 2020 but have already proved to be an excellent pathway for many learners, allowing them to progress onto apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships, university and full-time employment.
