Last week, our Hospitality and Catering students welcomed members of the Catering Services Branch from the Royal Navy, who delivered an engaging presentation about careers within the service, the opportunities available, and the benefits of working as part of their team.

Last week, our Performing Arts and Hospitality and Catering students delivered an immersive 1920s-themed murder mystery dinner, combining a three-course meal with live performances throughout the evening.

Every week, Hospitality and Catering students deliver a professional dinner service for friends, family and members of the public, offering high-quality, three-course meals at an affordable price. These services provide students with invaluable real-world experience while giving the community access to excellent food at a reduced cost. 

Last term, our Level 3 Hospitality and Catering students took a trip to The Pony restaurant in Chew Magna where they took part in a cookery class and foraged for their own ingredients, giving them valuable lessons on seasonal ingredients and how to look for them.

Throughout this term, Weston College have hosted a series of Employer Advisory Boards and Industry Forums across a wide range of sectors. These events play a vital role in ensuring the College’s curriculum remains closely aligned with current and emerging industry needs, helping learners develop the skills, behaviours and knowledge required to succeed in the workplace.

Last week, our Hospitality and Catering students demonstrated outstanding professionalism and talent as they catered for more than 150 guests at the annual Celebration of Success (COS) Awards in the Winter Gardens.
