WHAT DOES THIS COURSE INVOLVE

In addition to the valuable theoretical and practical knowledge you'll gain, this programme offers exciting opportunities to enhance your skills and experiences in computing and IT. One highlight is the chance to participate in work experience, where you'll acquire valuable skills relevant to the industry. This programme provides tutorial support, employability development, and study skills to support your growth and success – we’ll also help you acquire the English and maths skills demanded by IT employers.

Additionally, this programme focuses on developing your teamwork, presentation, and independent working skills, preparing you for a well-rounded professional journey. You can also join our Esports academy, where you can receive training for national competitions and become an ambassador for the field, further expanding your opportunities and connections in the industry.

ASSESSMENT METHOD

You will be assessed through observations of practical work, group work, presentations, and coursework.

FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES

This programme could be your first step into the IT industry as an IT technician. You could also progress onto our Level 2 IT programme to further develop your skills and knowledge.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 3-1 with at least two at grade 3, or a pre-vocational programme.
