Preparing to Work in College - Learner Support
This course is designed to give you the essential skills to be able to confidently work as a learning support within a College setting. This is a good starting point for anyone intending to work in Further and Adult Education, with a focus on supporting and developing learners in their learning environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is keen to make a difference and have a positive impact on other people's lives.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will have a guaranteed interview with Weston College for the Learner Support roles that are available.
The course includes:
- The roles and responsibilities of a learning Support in Education
- Inclusive learning and teaching support approaches
- Safeguarding in Education Settings
- An insight into working within a college setting
- Application and Interview Preparation
Assessment
You will be completing two qualifications and as part of the assessment process you will be required to complete assignments.
Entry Requirements
No entry requirements but need to have a good understanding of basic Maths and English, prospective learners must be over 19.
