Access to HE: Healthcare (Fast Track: January Start)
This course is ideal if you are interested in a career in nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, social care, social work or even teaching. It could also provide a route to academic degrees in science or social science.
This course is your next step towards a fulfilling career and will give you the qualifications needed to study a university degree.
You will study in college for 10.5 hours a week (which will be over two days on Mondays and Wednesdays) and in addition, complete up to 6 hours of online lessons independently at a time to suit you. It is the perfect course for those who are wanting to progress to university, but cannot fit more than two days physical attendance into their work schedule. We will personalise your schedule of learning to suit you, and this is one of the reasons we see success and progression to university rates significantly above the national average.
The course is well-established and widely accepted by universities, providing you with UCAS tariff points that are equivalent to three A Levels.
The Access to HE Diploma in Healthcare is designed to prepare you for entry into undergraduate programs in nursing, midwifery, and related healthcare fields, plus includes subjects relevant to health and social care and education. The subjects and topics covered in this course typically include:
