Access to HE: Nursing and Midwifery

This course is ideal if you are interested in a career in nursing or midwifery.

These professions change people’s lives daily – nurses support patients in a variety of ways and midwives support and guide expectant mothers through their pregnancy.

This course is your next step towards a fulfilling career in nursing or midwifery and will give you the qualifications needed to study a university degree.

You will study in college for 12 hours a week and complete the rest of your studies independently. You can also complete voluntary or paid work in a care setting, which will strengthen your university application and is recommended.

We will personalise your schedule of learning to suit you, and this is one of the reasons we see success and progression to university rates significantly above the national average.

The course is well-established and widely accepted by universities, providing you with UCAS tariff points that are equivalent to three A Levels.
