Digital Media Fundamentals, UAL Award
This course is aimed at adults who are looking to develop or expand their digital media skills and enable you to produce your own media content that can be used to enhance business promotion or lead to creative employment opportunities.
You will have the opportunity to create a range of media products including video content, graphic design, social media, interactive materials and more. You will also research and gain an understanding of different media products as well as how to attract and engage audiences. You will produce and document your work in the form of an online portfolio or sketchbook that can be used to showcase the skills you develop throughout the course.
This course will give you the opportunity to develop a series of vital digital skills and learn how to use various professional media tools. You will learn the fundamentals of media production including camera operation, digital design and video editing. You will also have full access to the department’s technical equipment, mac computers and editing software, and your tutors will provide all the necessary guidance and support required to use these materials.
This is an exciting opportunity for those with or without prior media experience or knowledge and tutors will gladly support any skill set to enable success.

There are no formal entry requirements but a Level 1 Media qualification would be advantageous.
