Apprenticeship Teaching Assistant
This apprenticeship will help you develop the skills you’ll need to assist and support teachers and children in the classroom, including supporting children with special educational needs and emotional vulnerabilities. You’ll be expected to act as a role model to the children, take an active part in lesson planning, and act with kindness and care, to improve pupil progress and development. As a teaching assistant apprentice, you will work alongside experienced educators. From aiding in lesson preparation to delivering one-on-one support, your role will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Through a combination of practical experience and theoretical learning, this apprenticeship equips you with the necessary skills to effectively engage with students, facilitate their academic progress, and enhance their personal and social development. Though this role will be demanding, seeing the progress of the children will be hugely rewarding.
An apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to acquire industry-specific qualifications and valuable hands-on experience while earning a salary. You’ll gain first-hand industry experience and practical skills that make you highly employable and give you a head start in your career. You will become a member of our Education Career Excellence Hub. Through our extensive network of partnerships with schools and nurseries, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, applying what you've learned in a real-world setting. You will also be offered a range of guest lectures and workshops delivered by industry professionals. Our unrivalled exposure to employers will enable you to bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring you are well-prepared to secure your first post, or take the next step in your career.
