Health: Supporting the Therapies Team, T Level
This T Level programme is an ideal choice if you are looking for a rewarding career in the healthcare sector. This dynamic programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, providing you with a holistic understanding of the healthcare industry. Through a blend of classroom learning, simulated scenarios, and industry placements, you will acquire a wide range of skills and competencies essential for success in various healthcare roles.
The program covers a diverse range of topics, including anatomy and physiology, healthcare practices, infection control, health and safety, and communication skills. With a strong focus on real-world application, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in healthcare settings, working alongside professionals and applying your learning in a hands-on environment. By completing the T Level, you will be well-prepared to enter the workforce with a solid foundation of knowledge, practical skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
T Levels are designed to provide a technical alternative to A Levels and are developed in collaboration with employers, ensuring that courses meet industry demands and equip students with the precise skills valued by employers in specific sectors. These two-year courses are equivalent to three A Levels, illustrating the depth of learning involved. One of the distinguishing features of T Levels is the minimum 45-day industry placement, allowing students to gain practical experience and develop essential employability skills. With their unique blend of classroom learning and on-the-job experience, T Levels offer students a clear pathway to rewarding careers in their chosen fields. You will learn how to help registered practitioners to deliver healthcare services to adult patients in a variety of settings. Accordingly, you will become proficient at carrying out a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks that are required in a healthcare setting. Training will equip you to follow standards, policies, and protocols in order to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare to the best of your ability. As a Healthcare Practitioner, it is essential to treat people with dignity, to respect an individual's diversity, beliefs, culture, needs, values, privacy and preferences, and to show respect for those you work with but have the courage to challenge any areas of concern.
The Health & Active Living Skills Centre at Loxton Campus is purpose-built to provide an exceptional learning experience and to meet the demands of the industry. The centre’s cutting-edge facilities include a simulation training hospital ward and hi-tech medical mannequins, allowing you hands-on experience with clinical procedures. Industry-leading virtual reality headsets and 360 video software immerse you in real-world healthcare scenarios.
You will be taught by industry experts and, as the centre serves as a training hub for NHS staff, you’ll interact with professionals in various roles. The state-of-the-art resources and comprehensive training will ensure you’re well-prepared to excel in the health and social care sector.

Carry out a range of therapeutic techniques to support Allied Health Professionals

Prepare and maintain the therapeutic environment, equipment, and resources for use
ASSESSMENT METHOD
You will be assessed through exams and project work throughout the programme. You will need to complete all elements to achieve the overall T Level.
FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES
The Level 3 T Level will equip you with the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training relevant to the T Level. Additionally, this programme will enable you to progress onto a degree in Integrated Mental Health and Social Care or Health and Social Care Practice at University Centre Weston. You can also progress to university in either health or social care related fields.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English, maths, and science (grade 6), or the Health T Level Transition Programme.
