If you’re looking to develop your passion and skills in media hair and makeup, this qualification will teach you all you need to help you achieve a career in the industry. This course will encourage you to be creative and inventive and try techniques you’ve never had the chance to before, while discovering what is most effective in different media contexts.

What does the course involve?
The content of this qualification is comprised of all the required elements to work effectively as a make-up artist including airbrush make-up for the face, camouflage make-up, fashion and photographic make-up and media make-up.
Learners also have the opportunity to undertake a wide range of optional units to enhance their practical skills in both hair and make-up application/beauty techniques such as face and body art, mehndi skin decoration, applying prosthetic pieces, styling and fitting postiche, wig services and fantasy hair design, production arts planning and many more related units.
How will the course be assessed?
Learners complete a range of assignments and externally set assessments. Learners complete an industry placement within the sector.
Are there any additional costs?
You will be required to purchase a kit and a uniform; these will be available from the college shop.
